 This page is meant to help our participants find other Canoe- Bike- Run races in our area. Mentioning on this page is a service of the Houston Minnesota Lions and is a service only. The Houston Minnesota Lions cannot take any responibillity for the contents of the websites shown on this page.
​Be sure to arrive early at the Race-site to allow time for parking, bib and t-shirt issue, and crowds. This goes for all races.

Flater's 30th Annual-   Triple R Triathlon September 28 and 29, 2019.
The race starts at noon with a 3 mile run, followed by a 15 mile paved bicycle ride, and a 6 mile canoe or kayak trek downriver.  
The Flambeau Gravel Grinder will be 3 stages of Gravel Grinding racing in two days showing the best of the Flambeau River and the beauty of the Blue Hills all in Rusk County!

Adventure Triathlon- Grantsburg, WI. Saturday May 11th 2019.
The 4th Annual 
 Adventure Triathlon , sponsored by Burnett Medical Center, will take place on Saturday, May 13, 2017.
Racers can expect a 19 mile bike ride through Crex Meadows Wildlife Area, a 2 mile kayak on Phantom Lake in Crex Meadows and an 8 mile run from Crex Meadows back to Memory Lake (4 - challenging - miles on the trails at the park). 
Our Youth Triathlon continues to be a great success! We will keep the route and distances the same, and can't wait to see all the young athletes competing again this year!

White Deer Triathlon- Boulder Junction, WI, May 18th 2019. 
Boulder Junction is proud to be the home of the annual White Deer Triathlon, held every May. This fun event features a 3-kilometer canoe/kayak/stand-up paddleboard course on Boulder Lake, 23-kilometer bike ride on Boulder Junction’s rustic roads and 6.5-kilometer run.

Chippewa Triathlon- Cass Lake, MN, June 8th 2019. 
The Chippewa Triathlon is a unique event that combines canoeing, biking, and running, all through the Chippewa National Forest in Cass Lake, Minnesota. The course follows the centuries-old "Pike Bay Connection". Approximate leg-Distances: 15-mile canoe, 29-mile mountain bike, 5-mile trail run.  Final course is set right before the race based on wind, recent and forecasted weather, etc.
The Chippewa Triathlon is not solely a competitive event; organizers emphasize its value as a personal challenge and an opportunity to improve one's fitness level through preparatory training.  And, you get to see some beautiful country!

Those who pre-register before June 4 are guaranteed a high quality wicking long sleeve, -same as last year.  And, when you register you'll see our registration fees are the same as last year, and the year before, and...

Tri Loppet- Minneapolis, MN,  July 21 st 2019.
The 
UCare Tri-Loppet Off-Road Triathlon is a point to point triathlon using the Chain of Lakes and trails in Theodore Wirth Park. Paddle 7K, run 5K and mountain bike 13K – all in the heart of the city. Put your skills to the test in this ultimate summer celebration0

Saint Croix FAT CAT Triathlon- Scandic, MN, July 13 th 2019.
A COURSE LIKE NO OTHER! Participants in the 3rd Annual Saint Croix Fat Cat will paddle, run and pedal their way along one of the finest routes we could dream up! Racers will paddle 3.8 miles on the Saint Croix National Riverway downstream from Scandia's Log House Landing, around Greenburg Island into William O'Brien State Park.  They exit there and run a 5.5 mile majestic route through the park, ending at Scandia-Marine Lions Park.  From there, they bicycle 11 miles along the shores of Big Marine Lake and through some of Scandia's idyllic back roads finishing back at the Lions Park where they can enjoy a catfish snack & beverage.  All participants will also receive a race-day T-Shirt with special awards for the top finishers in each division.  Please join us for a day of exercise, food, music, and  FUN!
All proceeds go back to our communities, education, and Lions causes.

The Great Race- Auburn, NY, August 11th 2019.
​On the northern end of Owasco lake. Join us as we renew Auburn's annual tradition of fun, competition, and celebration. 
Run 10 kilometers, bike - 20 miles and canoe 4 miles.
Wolfman Race, Langlade, Wis.September 7 2019 Triathlon. The 25th Annual Wolfman Triathlon, presented by Wolfman Triathlon Inc., one of the first off road triathlon's in Wisconsin consists of three segments: 3 mile whitewater paddle…13 mile mountain bike ride…and 3.5 mile rugged trail run. Racers begin in kayaks/canoes on the very rocky 3-mile class II whitewater section of the Wolf River just north of Langlade, WI. This downriver canoe and kayak leg ends at the DNR landing in Langlade. Racers then pull their boats ashore and sprint to the bike racks for a 13-mile mountain biking portion of the race. After a short ride east on highway 64, the course enters the Nicolet National Forest and the area’s extensive network of challenging technical single-track mountain bike trails. The course eventually exits the National Forest, crosses highway 55 south of Langlade and continues on more purpose built trail culminating with a river crossing near the end of the mountain biking course.  The last leg of the race is a 3.5 mile rugged trail run along the scenic Wolf River.

The Great Ames Adventure Race- North Ames, IA, September 8th 2019.(First Sunday after Laborday!!)
​The Great Ames Adventure Race (GAAR) is an amateur athletic event designed for all ages and abilities. Challenge yourself, or challenge family, friends, and coworkers in a paddle-bike-run event that keeps bringing people back, year after year. 

Participants compete in solo, tandem or relay divisions on a course that starts and ends at Ada Hayden Heritage Park, 5205 Grand Avenue in North Ames. The race begins with waves of six canoes and kayaks on a 2.7 mile race around the lake. Participants then exit the lake to a transition area where the 15 mile bike race and the 5K run begin.

Kickapoo Reserve Dam Challenge, La Farge, WI, October 5th 2019. The Kickapoo Reserve Dam Challenge Triathlon challenges participants to compete among the rugged hills of scenic southwestern Wisconsin's rural countryside and the Kickapoo Valley Reserve. Proceeds from this event benefit the Kickapoo Valley Reserve Education Program. 
Paddle 7 miles down the winding Kickapoo River along rock out-croppings and through diverse vegetation. The river route begins at Bridge 7 and ends at Bridge 14, the Transition Area. 
Road Bike 15 miles through the hilly driftless area. The route takes you through the valleys and over the ridge, in one of Wisconsin's most scenic rural landscapes.  Steep climbs and rapid descents provide the ride of a lifetime!  All cyclists must observe Wisconsin traffic laws. Helmets required. Drafting prohibited.
Trail Run 3 miles in the Kickapoo Valley Reserve.  The course consists of winding and wooded trail and Old Highway 131 Multi-Use Trail, which is a deteriorating road bed.

De Berenloop-West Terschelling, The Netherlands. Sunday November 3rd. The beautiful but tough trail, the enthousiast volunteers and the encouragement on the way provide a fantastic runner event. It is a race across the Island of Terschelling, The Netherlands. Check out their website.
